I am trying to add Google Analytics to my website. I built the site with iWeb and publish it to an FTP server. I have tried to use the iWeb SEO Tool, but the code does not show up in my source code. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi,

I’d like to ask some questions.

First, I wonder if I use iWeb SEO tool to add google analytics html code and publish the site, then I use apple’s iWeb 09 to edit the content and publish it again via iWeb 09, Do I need to add google analytics html code again too?

Moreover, Is it possible to reset everything as default if I want to quit using iWeb SEO tool.

    Thank you

You will have to just open the Site in iWeb SEO Tool and press the Re-Apply Saved Tags button. Then just publish your site from iiWeb SEO Tool.

You just need to publish with iWeb to reset anything iWeb SEO Tool has ever added to your site and it will be like you never used it in the first place.

Here’s my problem. When I apply Google Analytics code to my iWeb site, the following appears on the top of my published webpages–not all of them, but about half of them:

    ” />” />” />” />” />” />” />

It’s unsightly and it doesn’t appear to be doing my site any good in search engine rankings.

    What is your website URL?

I would try clearing the Google Analytics section, applying to your site, and then paste in the code again and re-apply once more.
