… OK, now I’m curious as to what this iWeb replacement is..! 😀

I have a question that I just thought of this morning. How will EasyWeb store the website information. With iWeb I have roughly 75 or so, iWeb domain files (each a differant site). I had split them because some sites were rather large (several hundred pages). So, how will EasyWeb package these files?

Very interested to see this iWeb replacement, it is exactly what I have been looking for!

So, when’s the release date? Hopefully EasyWeb will be more stable than WebDesign. I use WebDesign for editing purposes only. It often crashes. Attempts with support to find the problem have been unhelpful. If I open 2 or more pages WebDesign opens two copies of the application.

This looks good!
I never used iWeb, but changed to a Mac recently and now my WebPlus software is useless. This could be the best alternative and even if I don’t know the price yet I am ready to buy when BYO hosting can be provided.
MacWorld is behind us now, did you unveil a release date at that show?
Good luck with getting it to us soon as possible!

That shouldn’t happen. Sorry for the issues. What is your ticket ID so I can take a look?

Is there a beta program for EasyWeb? I am eager to move beyond the limitations of iWeb into a more SEO and mobile web development environment.

Cannot wait. iWeb sets a very high standard in terms of ease of use and capability (the page layout and content manipulation are great; sadly the absence of common features built-in to the software, eg dropdown menus, forms, social media integration, lack of straightforward e-commerce integration, rigid navigation bar etc etc is being felt as I for one, expect more. One more thing, don’t dare omit the “instant alpha” feature!
PS Are you there yet?

Facility to search a term within a website would be good.

when can I buy it, or can I become a tester?, PLEASE!!

I’ve heard I have to have Rage Hosting for EasyWeb? That’s a killer for me I think, I’ve got many websites and have prepaid hosting for 3 years out. I’d lose a ton of money. I hope you come up with an app I can use in other web hosts. I’d really like an iWeb replacement.

Hello,
Having just upgraded my daughters old mac to lion we find it impossible to open old websites in iweb as they are saved straight into a directory structure instead if as a Domain.sites2 format.
Katie’s site, and a few others all have the same problem, is there a way that Easyweb will be able to interpret these old directory type iweb files? if this can be done it will save days of locating and re building content.
I have no technical knowledge about these things but imagine that if a domain host can read and interpret this information, maybe Easy web could do too.
Hoping you can help ……………John

I am looking very much forward to EasyWeb. I am a genealogist and I have with great pleasure made a number of more or less private web-sites with iWeb.
Now I am about to make a more professional genealogy site, and here I really need social media integration, and e-commerce integration. Among other things.
Hope that EasyWeb is released very soon.
March 31st, 2013 at 2:44 pm
Our existing web hosting customers will be offered to try it first.
March 31st, 2013 at 2:47 pm
@john: You will be able to open your iWeb site in a web browser and copy and paste most elements into EasyWeb. But directly opening an iWeb site won’t be supported.

So excited!!!! Thank you thank thank you!!

When can I buy it?

I have two iWeb sites – one for this nonprofit and the other for my personal work. Now i can only open my personal one and I can’t seem to open the bordervoices.com domain to update it for the poetry fair that we are having on June 1st. I’m really frustrated. If anyone knows how I can open bordervoices.com to edit the site, I’ll be grateful. ALSO, how long does it take to create a new site in RAGE or Macworld, or whatever you are calling it?

It’s been 6 months since the teaser of an iWeb replacement went out. How much longer do we have to wait? All the hoopla and then nothing has been most disappointing.
July 5th, 2013 at 11:36 am
annnnnnnd? is it out and ready for the public? please? 🙂 I really need some help!

It’s probably safe to say at this point that the lack of updated communication about the EasyWeb software will also be what one can expect from the company if and when a product launches. IMO poor business communication as it is now sets the tone for what’s to come. I would be very skeptical about a final release and if one comes, how the company will support their product with timely updates.

We update EasyWeb’s progress all the time on the EasyWeb Facebook page and release new beta’s every few days.
July 28th, 2013 at 10:51 am
I have an antiquated iweb site. Needed; drop down menu, forms, more dynamic blog pages, rotating banner photos, mass update notification, seo support etc. Good to see byo hosting allowance update on the Facebook page.
It’s been a while folks. Perhaps it’s time for a thorough update?

How can we try the beta without a Facebook account ?
